Terms and Conditions for selling on UK Starlet Club (consumer to consumer)

This terms and conditions comply with existing legislation including the Sale of Goods Act, the Consumer Credit Act if appropriate, and any legislation relating to restrictive trade practices (e.g. the Unfair Contract Terms Act)
These terms and conditions govern your use of our website; by using our website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use our website to sell goods of any nature.

Definition of basis or subject matter of the contract.

The item must be described in full detail e.g sizes, colour, make, model. If any faults or damages are included within the item being sold they must be clearly noted. Pictures must be provided to show the item and any damages or alterations that have occurred. If any discrepancies are found and have not been notified in any way then the advert will be automatically closed down and removed.
All items should be sold with good intentions and true to the description of the item.

The Price

The price should be clearly stated and if postage and packaging is to be adding on to the price of the item this should be clearly displayed and a provisional and final total should be included in the advert.

Method and timing of payment acceptable
Payment is to be made via paypal only and not to be sent as a gift. If there are any disputes regarding the item then this can be resolved through the complaints procedure on paypal.

Postage of Items

When an advert is set up for the sale of an item a timescale has to be set up to show the time expectations on the item being post e.g. 48hours from receipt of payment. If there are any alterations to be made once payment has been received the buyer should be notified straight away and a full explanation and new time scale should be formatted.
Items ideally should be sent tracked or recorded via Royal Mail. This way the seller has proof that the item has been sent and this will also cover the parcel if it was to be lost in transit.

Disputes

All disputes should try and be resolved between the buyer and the seller, if this is not possible; then as noted above all disputes are to be taken through paypal following there complaints procedure. That way the buyer will get any owed money to them.
